The metrology technology hub comprises two departments.
R&D Electronics Division
- Its primary mission is to maintain and develop an electronics laboratory to support scientific experiments,
- but also to study, design, produce and validate new electronic systems.

Mechanical, ultra-high vacuum and related technologies department (MUTA)
MUTA provides the technical support essential to the quality of the laboratory’s experiments, in the following areas:
- mechanical, optomechanical, ultra-high vacuum and thermal design,
- machining and manufacturing of critical mechanical parts and assemblies,
- assembly and validation of ultra-vacuum areas.
The mechanical engineering department also valorizes a number of developments resulting from LTE scientific projects. These developments are made available to the community through collaborations or subcontracting.
The technology department has a component responsible for ensuring the instrumental computer security of all the laboratory’s experiments.
