Development of a laboratory gradiometer

The gradiometer currently under development at SYRTE will combine 1) ultra-cold atomic sources obtained from on-chip magnetic traps and 2) the use of multi-photonic splitters. These two key elements will be combined to produce interferometers based on multi-photon separators of several tens, or even several hundreds, of ħk in fountain configuration.
