CARIOQA : Cold Atom Rubidium Interferometer in Orbit for Quantum Accelerometry

The aim of the CARIOQA project is to embark and test an atomic accelerometer in space. It will demonstrate the key features of space-based atom interferometry, such as interrogation times of several seconds and active rotation compensation. This technological demonstration will pave the way for ambitious space missions based on cold atom interferometry.
